Who am I?

I was born and raised in Montpellier in 1972. At the age of 17, I decided to pursue my higher education at a reputable university in Paris: Paris 3, Sorbonne Nouvelle. With my degrees in hand, I worked as a French teacher (and later as a French teacher trainer) both in France and abroad, in a variety of contexts, always within French governmental institutions. A few years ago, I chose to pause my career and go back to my city of birth to take care of my mother in the final years of her life.
Circumstances led me to establish a remote French as a Foreign Language (FLE) teaching activity. In 2023, I decided to do it on a larger scale and formalize it by becoming an officially registred self-employed French teacher.

Among my diplomas or certificates, I can mention:

"Licence de lettres modernes mention Français Langue Etrangère"
It's the equivalent of a "bachelor degree" in the American education system, and probably would translate to "Bachelor of Arts in Modern Languages with a Concentration in French as a Foreign Language"

"Agrégation de lettres modernes"
It's a competitive examination that serves as a qualification for teaching at the university level and is considered one of the highest teaching credentials in France. It attests to expert competencies in French literature as well as in French language and grammar.

"Habilitation à corriger le DELF et le DALF (niveaux A1,A2,B1,B2,C1)"
This is a qualification in the field of French as a foreign language teaching and assessment. It grants individuals the authorization to correct and grade the DELF (Diplôme d'Études en Langue Française) and DALF (Diplôme Approfondi de Langue Française) examinations, which are internationally recognized French language proficiency tests.

Beyond my diplomas and experience, on a more personal level, I can say that I am open-minded, compassionate, and supportive. I believe I can say that my students appreciate our interactions and enjoy learning French in a lively and friendly atmosphere.
