Frequently asked questions

Some are good, some are not so good. Generally speaking, you get what you pay for. I've observed that many French teachers, particularly on specialized platforms, are not native French speakers or lack experience. Their accents can be subpar, and some have even a limited command of French! Choosing to learn French with me means opting for a certified teacher with years of experience, which comes at a (fair) cost.

There is no one-size-fits-all answer to this question. If you are a beginner, have the time, and want to progress quickly, I'd recommend 5 hours per week. If you are an advanced learner and just want to maintain your French through a conversation class, one to two hours per week may be suitable. In any case, we can adjust the pace together as we go along.

Learning a foreign language isn't a linear process because languages are complex, individuals have varying learning patterns, there are plateaus and setbacks, motivation fluctuates... These factors create a dynamic and nonlinear learning journey. But working regularly with a french teacher, who's also a tutor permanently analyzing these factors, is an undeniable advantage for making efficient progress.

Yes! I can incorporate your project into the course content and progression. I've helped students in the past with tasks like preparing a French speech, writing letters, emails, or getting ready for an interview. Tell me more about your project, and we'll discuss it together!

I split my time between Montpellier (in the South of France) and Paris. If you were to visit either of these cities, we could consider face-to-face lessons, and even learning in real-life situations where foreigners might find themselves in France.

I can provide you with a document for free, certifying the number of hours we have worked together and at what level (A1, A2, B1, B2, C1...).
For a more precise document, I recommend taking a DELF or DALF mock exam with me, after which I will give you your score in oral production, oral interaction, written comprehension, and written production. However, it won't have official value.
For an official document, I advise you to sit for the DELF or DALF exam; there are many examination centers worldwide. And of course, we can prepare for this exam together, as I am very familiar with it, to give you the best chances of success.
